Yup, it's true.. it's going to use two AA batteries
Quote: The pointer will accept two AA alkaline batteries, which will keep it going for a considerable amount of time. If the precision aim functionality of the pointer is being used in games, the device will run for approximately 30 hours. If only the accelerometer functionality is being utilized, the Wii-mote will operate for 60 hours on two AA batteries.

yeah, $20 for Nunchuk and $40 for the Wii-mote.
(I would hope that they release a bundle for $50 in the near future.)

yes, rechargable batteries are quite useful. They wear out once you've charged them 50 times or so, but that should be plenty of time. Does anyone know if the Wiimote is going to have a low battery indicator? Because it would be stupid for the Wiimote to die while you're playing, and you die or something.

just wait you guys are going to see some amazing things come out of the nintendo wii
1.nintendo is working on a rechargable stand and ac adapter to recharge the nintendo wii's remote controller
2.if this finally makes it to production look at battery life to be around 30 hours or better
3.the nintendo wi fi connection that is built into the wii will finally make good use of the nintendo ds system
4.sorry no plans yet for a nintendo wii to gba adapter because i think the gba's time has come because there are to many people that own ds's right now and are playing all of there games on the ds
5.think about how good resident evil is going to be with a nunchuk controller when using the gamecube versions
nintendo has a lot of great plans and a lot of bad ideas as well one being you have to have the nintendo wii's classic controller in order to play nintendo 64 titles

It's stupid because my Logitech mouse has it's own rechargable batteries, and it's own charger. Is there a reason they can't do this for a next-gen system???
Only bad move in my opinion for doing that.
Now you have to spend money on a charger and rechargable batteries which are signicantly more then regular. If you don't already have one.
should have a battery indicator on it at least so in a middle of a game you don't lose battery power and can't even pause and die or lose in the game. Which is most likely going to happen a lot.

Like I said before just buy rechargable batteries for 10 dollars. But your right they should have something like sony does with their ps3 it can recharge while you are playing the system so....

wrong sony doesn't recharge while playing the system you have to leave the console on 24 hours in order to fully charge the controller and worse the ps3 controller when it dies you have to pay 59.99 for a new controller

Actually it can.... Trust me. Also from the amount of times from buying batteries over and over you would have saved more then 40 dollars from the sony controller.
