GBA FlashAdvance Card and DS lite

Hi,

I just got a DS lite and I put in my old GBA 128M FlashAdvance card to see if my GBA FF4 backup would play. Unfortunately it doesn't get past the title screen. Pretty much crashes. However when I put in the card in my old GBA SP it runs fine.

Would anyone know if the card is incompatible with the DS lite?
That would suck.
