Help with nero and dvd shrink

Im new to these 2 software's. I have a laptop and i just put in a movie onto my Hard drive with DVD Shrink, then i tried to burn it and it said DVD+R is not supported. I opened the movie with Nero and hit burn and it gave me the same Message. On my drive it says DVD+Rewritable. with the + not a -. and i don?t think that the DVD-R will work??? right, Please help!

Post your burner details so we can take a look...eg Brand, model etc.

Its a Dell M140 laptop and the drive is:
SONY DVD+-RW DW-Q58A

Well it certainly should support both the +R and-R format, the only firmware I could find for it is UDS2 from here

Yea, i think it does, I rn the Nero drive test. and it shows it supports the + and - i was just going by what it said on the drive itself. The drive is working fine, its the Nero that comes up with the window that it does not support DVD+R media.
