I tried a few different programs out there and none of them were any help..

Is there any software that will help me rip segments off of DVDs?

you can run a program that will capture video off the screen! Snagit will do it! PowerDVD v7 will record some of the movie but the disk can't be copy protected!

yes..... you'll have to set it up..... sometimes you'll have to set your video card to a lower setting to get the capture video to work and see it on your monitor! but once it's captured you can rest your video setting back to normal..... it does work! quality will be lost though...... it's not the High Definition that everyone wants but it will capture live video and such on your monitor!~

Hi,

i also want to rip segments of dvds, instead of ripping whole chapters. But i need to keep the quality, which capturing off the screen will lose.
Any suggestions for dvd ripping software that allows me to rip a batch of specific segments?

I would use a video editing program that would allow you to edit the DVD to what you want and then burn from that!
