you can switch the kernels between 1.5 and 2.71. I tried quite a few different 1.5 homebrews and they all ran with the 1.5 kernel enabled. And the direct iso loading from the XMB is pretty sweet.

go here. its the full installer for 2.71 se-b and it also includes the files for recovery incase u wanna go back to 1.5.

well its 50 mb so if u dont have hispeed it will take some time.

@gunot
you stick an iso in the iso folder like normal. you still have to have a umd in. the iso's show up in the XMB where devhook and other homebrews would natively show up. press x over it and it boots it like it was homebrew. really quite easy.

no in the ISO folder. same place u would put iso's as if you were still using devhook.

why do you say that? like hex said iso in ISO folder then chose the iso by clickon on game just like when u chose any outher homebrew

thats why i like to use the installers the dev's distributed. did you flash the files to ur psp. although it installs them there is still a step u have to do before u actually use it, which would be flashing them to the psp.
