Back in the day, bitspirit was one of the few programs to support UPnP without bugs, and was a pretty robust program. That was well before uTorrent and when the JRE was still giving Azureus lots of problems.

Now it's changed hands and is typically bundled with spyware and other nasties. It is also one of many pieces of client software that has "non-reporting" versions floating around. Meaning that you download all day, and it never notifies the server that it's downloading, so your ratio never changes.

It's bad, and you'll get caught, and banned, so don't do it.

I don't know for sure that's what it means, but it would make sense to me.
