can´t run new games requiring fw 2.80 & 2.81 on my 2.71 psp (using hen c). I have tried with several isos, tried ace combat, tried marvel ultimate, and i deleted the update files from all of them, but it still asks me to upgrade the fw... what's up with that??

yeah i guess i´m screwed but they are only games right?? lol I'm guessing i won´t be able to play gta vice city either this blows... what about a version changer?? maybe that will help? where can i get it?

that won't help, it's a prx issue...i'm suprised they don't work though, but it's possible i guess, we'll just have to wait and see what happens w/ devhook....

find the bit in the devhook menu that says something like...
UMD Version "2.xx --> 2.00" and select it.
That is what works on chunglams anyway.

I believe I am using chunglam's devhook and I can't get Killswitch to work, but I did get GTA to work, please help.

Same as suggested in "guide for playing iso games PSP TA-082 2.0 to 2.71"
3.goto GAMES then MEMORYSTICK and boot DEVHOOK LAUNCHER VSHEX Mod,note that u will now be in devhook menu,set the settings
UMD SELECT : XMB-BOOT[usus-00001].cso
firmware : 2.71 , not the nandflash
clock : 222/111
thumbnail mode : enable
Auto DISC ID : enable
MORE OPTIONS>>>>UMD SFO VERSION : 2.xx to 2.00
REMOTE CTRL : remote controller
preload address : 0x98200000
autorun : disable
screenshots : disabled
ADD-ON MENU>>>>>XMB SCREENSHOT : enable
HEN(2.71 only) : enable
press on start in the devhook menu.
4.hold the HOME[/bold} button for three sec then use the analog to move,ok now set these final settings
move the analogstick right in text font to enter,put the cursor on internal font then move the analogstick left to go back.
now put the cursor on status layout and move the analogstick right and choose ICON/HALF SCREEN then move the analogstick right to apply.done
now press HOME,no need to hold.now u can see the image and details of the iso.

change that to disable and try again. Let us know if it works or does not work.
(I had to do this for Killzone but other games seem to work fine on disable too)
(ace combat needed the 2.xx --> 2.00 setting but I see you already have that done, again my other games seem fine with that)

I dont know if this is of any help but when I tried to run ace combat on a custom devhook it didnt work. It did work however, on 2.71 emulated and it also worked on 2.71 SE-B.

I think you should re-install devhook and format your mem card prior just to be sure.
I can confirm that Ace Combat X works with devhook and does not need 2.81. I've heard (but not personally tried it) that the situation is the same with Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
GTA:VCS - It's been confirmed that the game will use 2.81. But it might still work on devhook, idk, Ace Combat is 2.81, but it works like a charm anyways.
We'll know about the GTA:VCS situation in a couple days max.

Thanks guys I will try and disable, the HenC 2.71 when I get home. I have tried a lot of things and this is the first one that worked, "chunglams" I mean.
Is there anything better for a PSP TA-082 2.71?

yeh id put money on disabling HEN in the options. It worked for me when i cudnt run killzone.

I am having this problem as well right now. Killzone, Marvel, and Socom2 is giving me problems.

if you are using chunglam's ver, change your firmware to "2.71 nanflash", then choose cancel, this works for me

you have a link to download chunlums ver? does this matter if i have the ta082?
