Ok I'm aware that this is impossible to tell but I thought that it would be worth mentioning as this forum has gone dead.

Ok ATi make the GPU for the Gamecube and the Wii and even there next console maybe, so I was wondering seeing as ATi and AMD have joined forces will Nintendo be using the AMD CPU?

If so will we be seeing a AMD based Dual Core Wii system, with a ATi based core this would be very kool and would make a nice Wii-2 system.
Its Also possibe with Xbox next next gen machine, Just wondering other people's thoughts on this?

Currently they are sticiking with Ibm they have a good partnership and I dont see why they would change if they are already happy.
But it might seeing that Amd makes cheaper cpu's then any other company they just might but in the next 5 years i really doubt it.

yeah I doubt there will be a Wii 2 since Nintendo never had a 2 on nothin the only people that did is Sony even Micro didnt go that route and called there new console xbox360 . maybe the next one will be Revolution who knows lol

Lol I didn?t know what to call it so I named it Wii-2 I didn?t think everyone would start talking about the name.

But anyway also I think this could be a possibility because Nintendo always go with technology that?s behind the pc so it could be poss but I prefer the IBM cpu.

Also on another note the Nintendo Wii CPU is allegedly not 720 MHz but research into the CPU type suggests it could in fact be more like 900 MHZ, found that out through Google can?t remember the link sorry.

Wii 2 would sound even stupider then Wii... You could just call it the next nintendo console!
