Whats the difference and advantages and diadvantages of .iso , .cso and dax?

All my iso's are uncompressed but I have a few that are slightly over 1gb by about 300-400MB. If I convert them to cso will it knock the size down enough to fit on a 1GB stick?

well its hard to say really. it depends on how much dummy information is contained on the iso. the differences between iso, cso, and dax are iso is the format uncompressed. cso and dax are both compressed of course but dax use to be only playable by daxzisoloader. i think the compression rates between dax and cso are pretty close.

yeah but some cso files tend to lag thats why most people just use rip kits to make the file smaller by riping out sound files,video's or any outher unwanted files

well cso or dax would of made it lag but I have only encountered like 2 games that lag when compressed on level 9.

Outrun
NFS:Carbon.

It requires 2.81. No way the game is that good to give up all the greatness that is the PSP hacking scene. San Andreas on PSP... hmmmm... I might budge jus alittle but the answer would still be no. Also I checked UseNet, still no ISO.

So where can I find rip kits? I apologize if that question is not permitted. If so ignore that question.

Lastly can a ripkit FIX a bad rip? I got Tekken off *cough*P2P*cough!* and it plays fine until it goes to play the characters story mode ending movie and just is a black screen. I basically have to force exit and the progress isnt saved. I went into extras and noticed any of the available movies are just black screens but if you hit X itll go back to the previous screen. I know how to rip a PC games movies by just replacing them with a 1 sec. vid of the same format the original file is in and just replacing the file with that one, does it work the same on the PSP? Can I go into the iso and put in dumby vid files replacing the original ones?

ripkits MIGHT fix it if you're lucky but more often then not they mess things up. heres a site for ripkits - http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=26690 and i dont know if u read it but
