Hi all... :o)
I'm quite new to this so please excuse any gaffs...!!!
I've been getting a stack of mp3's from friends that need to be renamed. I was using The GodFather program which worked really well for tagging the more obscure songs in the collection, but I've now come back online to find that I can get this program to find anything.
Can anyone out there advise me on anything I can change in the settings or if you can recommend another program that can do the same job...??

Thanks :o)

If you want to rename the mp3's manually, this is a freeware program you might use.

Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the tip.
Just tried it and it doesn't seem to work the way I wanted. I think it's gotta have something to do with the freedb. Where I previously typed in a band name, it'd come up with a list of what they had in the db, and I'd then find the song I wanted to tag then...bingo!!!
I'll keep trying tho... :o)

Do some more checking, but I think the freedb has stopped working.
I think it was shut down.

This isn't true anymore. They were bought out by another company That promises to keep it free of charge! I don't recall their name at the moment. Good news for all!!!!!!

Yeah, there was somthing on the site about what software still worked with the freedb. Maybe it's worth hanging on and seeing if they need to tweak it or anything. The other one I use is Ultra Tag Editor. That works ok, as long as what you want to rename is on their systems...otherwise it's putting the tags in manually...!!! :o)
