Sorry if this has been asked before. I am never lucky with search engines. I did search here and at doom9 for this info.
I have DVD-RB 0.98 installed. I have purchased the lastest DVD-RB Pro - v1.11.0
Do I need to uninstall the free version before installing the Pro or can I install over the existing version.
Also is the help file a pretty good source explaining the added features or is there a better guide somewhere. I used the Cynthia guide with the free version (Ecellent!), but don't remember there being anything about the extras in the Pro version.
Appreciate any and all assistance.
TIA

I recommend you "uninstall" the free version first, restart your system, then install the DVD-RB Pro v1.11.0 (your legally purchased) and you should be fine.
I never used the free version, I went straight to DVD-RB Pro and Jdobbs has never let me down. With only $30US, this tool worth every pennies, free lifetime updates, plus Jdobbs updates at least once or twice a month. Best of luck and enjoy DVD-RB Pro to the fullest.

I agree with alkohol, it's is easy to uninstall. Once done install the pro version. You will not be disappointed. I have had it for about a month now and it's practically the only method that I now use. The results speak for themselves, even on a standard TV. I can't wait til I get a HDTV. (It'll be a while though).
Congratulation!

If you install the pro version without uninstalling the free version, you will have 2 folders. One with the free version and one with the pro version. So as mentioned above, yes, uninstall the free version.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

I downloaded the free version but couldn't work with the water mark it left.So I bought the pro version can$35 and then deleted the free version. No problems, seems to work well.

The watermark that is left is not from DVD-RB, but rather the encoder you are using. If you are using the Trial version of CCE SP, this will leave a watermark on both the free and Pro version of DVD-RB. In order to rid you final product of the watermark, you will either need to purchase CCE Basic ($60), CCE SP (too many $$), or use one of the free encoders included with the DVD-RB installer (I personally recommend HC encoder, not the fastest, but excellent quality).
edit: At least I don't remember there ever being a watermark due to the use of DVD-RB Free, the only watermark I can think of was from CCE, but if I'm mistaken, just disregard everything I previously posted...lol
