Looking to get a good 42'' HDTV for my Wii/Xbox360...Suggestions?

I'm a newbie here and this is my first post. I have an Xbox360 and have a Wii pre-ordered at Gamestop. So I'm looking for a good HDTV for those and movies. And of course, Zelda! *hears angelic voices*
From what I've seen I like both Lcd and plasma, but I just feel like I don't know enough about HDTV (hence my new membership here) to make an educated decision. As far as actual brands go, the 40-42'' Samsungs look good. That could totally be false, because I don't know anything about HDTVs other than if they look good to me or not. Please give me some suggestions... Thanks

You mean the lcd 1080p HDTV from samsung that is advertised during NFL games?!!!?!?!?!?
