my ps2 is chipped but laser has worn out so i rely on my hdloader on ps2 hdd to play games but psone games dont work on hdloader so can i use this method to play the psone game on my ps2...

1. install the psone game onto a thumb drive
2. load a cheat disc on my ps2 and load the thumb drive from there
3. should be playable now?

yes backup psone games work on my chipped ps2 but i dont want to risk it and play with the disc cause it will completely stuff up the laser lens and i wont be able to load hdloader to play any games no more.

No the only method would be to

1. do a hot swap

2.just put the game in

3.buy a chipped ps1 theyre only 20 bucks on ebay

For the 10 millionth time, just to clear things up!...

PsOne/PSX games can ONLY be played from CD's, NOTHING else!

Any questions? No? Good. Glad we've cleared that up at last.
