Hej guys,
Hope someone can help me out..I read some of the other posts and I upgraded my firmware, but i still get an "ILLEGAL DISC" error in Nero when i try to burn a DVD.

Hope you can help me out!!

Thnx ripper, but I'm afraid this didnt work out...
I downloaded a program called "Complex Evolution" and this program had no trouble burning these DVD's..

Even after i tried Nero 7...

You're still burning too fast. 4x only.

Have you tried a diff media?

Also what other burning programs are on your PC?

yea, i had no problem with "imation" dvd @ 8x
I just burned a cd-rom as well, and no problem here.

So my guess is, the problem must lay with Nero here..

I had no other burning proggies installed... untill I just tried this "complex evolution" ...

Ok then. Remeber to uninstall and run the Nero 6 & 7 clean tools. You can get them form their website. I then suggest you run a registry cleaner. You can get one from google such as CClenear.

BTW 8x burning is fine as long as you are using good media. Even 12x or 16x if you have top notch (I mean THE BEST) media.
