i have the latest itunes installed and i use bearshare and also purchase songs online, but whenever i do....itunes pops up automatically. after the download, it pops up...i want it to stop, its really irritating, because i dont even use itunes, my brother needs it for his ipod. can sum1 guide thru steps to configure it so that it don't do that?
i think itunes has been setup as your default player, a default player is the player that automaticaly starts up when you have a song or video that you want to play.
Not sure how to fix it, sometimes if you open 'windows media player' it will ask you if you want it to be your new default player, click 'yes' and it will start using 'winodws media' instead of 'itunes'.
if that wasn't the problem then make a more clear discription.
I had the same problem with iTunes popping up every time Bearshare finished an mp3 download. To stop it, open Bearshare, go to Setup, iTunes, and uncheck the box that automatically adds to iTunes. By default, the box is checked.
another pice of advise, dump bearshare and get FROSTWIRE its by the same company and has mroe benifits.
