Capturing Clips without ripping whole DVD

I need to grab several clips off various DVDs. Before, I was
ripping the data off the DVDs, then editing the clips and
re-compressing.
I know Mac has Final Cut where you can hook up a DVD Player to your computer and click your mouse to start capturing a clip then click mouse again to end capturing.

I don`t have a Mac.
Do anyone know a program that has this capablity.

PS... I very new to make DVDs.

Clonedvd2 allows you to take clips from a dvd, you can get a 21 day trial download from slysoft.com

Hi,

I have a similar problem. i need to rip chunks out of dvds, and want to specifiy the in/out points straight from dvd, rather than ripping whole chapters. i tried this CloneDVD2, and it seems to only rip chapters. ImTOO Ripper does this too. but is there a ripper that allows me to rip a batch of specific chunks from a dvd?
