I've have a question that's been bugging me for a long time:

Will file sharing survive?

millions of files ,everyday, are illegally shared over the Internet.

how hard is it for the IRAA or other anti file sharing companies to just stop illegal file sharing?

The truth is I'm one of those millions of people who everyday downloads games,music,software,...

It's to tempting, you can either go to a shop and spend an outrageous price on a CD or you can download it of the Internet for free in a couple of hours.

So then i ask myself: Who controls the Internet? and why can't they stop it?

If i understand correctly web sites are just a file in a server and when we type the address to the website we desire to explore we open the file in the server.

Is that correct?

So now i do a little research: i use nslookup to find limewire.com's
ip address.I get 64.61.25.171 which is located in the United States and more precisely at

400 Horsham Road
Suite 130
Horsham, PA
US

Even though the limewire server probably has something so that we don't See there real ip address I'm sure that if the people who are anti file sharing really want to they could locate there servers.

I know what you'll say: "file sharing isn't illegal.sharing copy protected files is."

well yes but now let's be honest 99.9 percent of the files in limewire
are illegally shared.

don't get me wrong I'm for file sharing cause the artists are swimming in money and the production company's to.

what I'm trying to ask is:
how can file sharing survive? if it can how? and why do the people against file sharing do much about it?

for now I'm very happy that we're able to share files but for how long can we do this?
when will this all stop?
