Can i play ad hoc with iso games?

I was wondering if it's possible to play ad-hoc or infrastructure mode with iso games... Can i play ad-hoc with a friend of mine if i got the real umd game and my friend got an iso file of the game?

yes you can as long as there both the same games ie both EU games or both US games.........and yes you can play on line and ad hoc with a iso/cso

Is that infrastructure, or ad-hoc, or both?

i tried playing ad-hoc with gta liberty city stories with a umd disc and an iso file of the game, it didn't work though, when the one with the iso files joins my game he gets disconnected.
