Well recently there was a thread asking a similar question but only wanting to know whether you could connect it to your PC monitor, and the impression was that it cannot be done, If you really want to play games on the move with your lappy, why not buy PC games? anyhow how are you going to be carrying a PS2 around? Those AV ports are for digital sat boxes and things like that, not PS2.

PS2 is a home console and should remain a home console.

EDIT: It cannot be done but you can use your PC monitor as a screen.
Even if you did somehow managed to do what you want, how would you power the PS2?

don't quote me cause i did not read the article completely. i read somewhere that a PCMCIA tv tuner card might work. make sure of course that it has rca input capability. i've wanted to do the same thing cause getting another tv into the living room JUST for my PS2 is not really an option and i wold love to be able to play while the wifey watches her crap.

I have also been looking for a way to do this. Someone at Circuit City told me there was a cable/adapter out there to do this, but I have not been able to locate it if there is. As far as a PS2 only being an "at home" game...my husband wants to play his PS2 on the laptop while he is deployed. He will have power in his place of residency. I will keep you posted if I find out anything.

Kos if you would like to be able to connect a PS2 to your laptop you will need some sore of video capture device, they have USB versions that come with all of the connections you need. When you install the software that comes with the video capture device you usually get a "TV" program that allows you to play your PS2.

Something like a Dazzle Video Capture Device would be perfect

What about an RF converter I think its called? Converts your RCA output to coaxial cable, then plug coaxial into (most) any card and turn to proper channel?

I don't think most laptops have a coaxial input, unless they have a tv tuner built in...

Correct, but I think I seen some that came with Windoze Media Center built in that did, leading me to believe there should be a card out there that does the same thing. I could be wrong but thats the closest I'll get to admitting it :P

i do believe you are right about that. However, I think I could just buy an external tv tuner and that would have the RCA jacks. I think that would plug in through the USB port. I was just hoping there was some sort of adapter out there so I didn't have to spend so much money.

Even better is a product called Gamebridge AVC-1400
you can buy it for only $9.00 at topsaleshop.com-also you can record portions of your game and it works very good!
