Hi all,
I am absolutely new in the PSP world and help from gurus as yrselves will be very much appreciated. I just bought a new 'cracked' PSP v2.71 SE-B. With it I got a 2Gb mem stick with 3 games - Vice City and Pro Evo Soccer 5 and metal gear Acid. I noticed that these have ext .cso and .iso.

Lately I downloaded some PSP games from torrent sites. These are MediEvil, DragonBall Z and Ridge Racer. When I extracted these (they were all .rar) I noticed that they have other folders apart from the .iso folders. These were mainly PSP folder, dh folder, DAXZISO folder, X folder and obviously the ISO folder.

Ridge racer and DragonBall are in .DAX format. MediEvil is in .iso format.

Now the following is were my concerns are.

1 - How can my PSP read .dax files ?
2 - Where do I place the other (above mentioned folders) in my PSP ?

Thanks very very much in advance.

ok you cant play.dax with 2.71 SE-B you need iso compressor which can decompress .dax to iso then u place the .dax in the iso folder and ull find the game under the game menue! can find the compressor at www.psp-hacks.com

Thanks mate. will search for this iso compressor. Can also please suggest where to I have to copy all the other folders mentioned in my first thread (above). I do not want to do any irreversible damage to the PSP.

They go to the root of your memory stick, the daxiso folder will most likely contain the program so you can play the dax file without having to uncompress it first.

You can leave them out if you dont want them filling up your memory stick, the dh folder will probably only install an older version of devhook.

Most compressors can change .dax to .cso, so once all of your games are .cso or .iso, just put them in a folder named ISO in the root of your memory stick, and then you'll be able to play them straight from your game menu if you have SE-B. You won't need any of the dh or daxziso folders, as SE-B doesn't need any loader programs to run isos.
