if you're talking about extracting audio from a dvd with Nero, i'd say no. For that you need a DVD Audio Ripper software.

Yes..actually with Nero wave editor you can record in "play time" any audio that comes out of your speakers..DVD..CD..streaming Audio.
it's not too widely discussed on forums, rip programs get more attention,probably becaus they are easy to use..but with Nero wave editor you actually have much more sound tweaking options once the audio is in wave editor. and if you have all the Nero audio plugins..you have those conversion options as well.. I use it all the time..specially for recording the tunes I play from Rhapsody

@snaggs
You're right. I've just recorded via the Nero wave editor something that was playing on windows media player. Plus, i can see that you can also record songs from a vinyl record player/cassette player too.

Many thanks for the useful tip:)

cheers

once you the settings figured....keeping the input volume down, and the gain so the waves do not touch the upper boarder..you can get some fantastic results..then saving it with MP3 pro ..and getting those bitrates figured..it's awsome...I use it to record all my choice tunes, I have Rhapsody..so I can play as much as I want any songs..I just cant burn them without paying .87c So..I use wave editor and reproduce a much better sounding track...love it..

You guys just answered a bunch of questions I had about Nero Wave. I was saving radio streams in in WAVE Sound and was unable to get them in to my Sansa. Thanks very much
