Hi all. I never even considered getting a PSP til i was laid up in the hospital for a week bored out of my mind. I have to go back in several weeks and This time i want to be prepared!
From what i'm reading, i think i want to get a PSP 1.5 version so i can play all the emu's out there and be able to mod everything on it.
Anyway, my noob questions...

What is "bricking" exactly?

I don't want to upgrade the firmware on it (i don't need wifi or internet access) but will i be forced to upgrade when new games come out to be able to play it?

I've seen that PSP mod chip advertised, but what would i need it for if i had a PSP 1.5?
Thanks all.

a brick is a psp that is no longer funtional ether by writeing to flash and turning it off or something like that

iff you are prepared to wait a bit longer when games are relised for the devhook update no you wont have to update

the MOD chip provides iso loading off the XMB nearly the same as the new firmware SE-B (read it up)
