I live in Egypt.. and here there's not alot of brands available.. but i recently found packs of 'TDK' and 'Sony' brands which looked not fake.. and i was surprised and happy to find these here and not for expensive prices too.. but it was written on it that its 'Made in Taiwan'.. so is that ok ?? or there's something suspicious.. (thats tha best which could be found here.. so dont tell me to look for any other brands like verbatim or something)

Taiwanese sony?

What format?
What speed rate?
What's the brand name and model # of your burner?

As long as you can get the faster 1x-8x or 1x-16x,you should be ok. It's pretty decent media. You may not want to burn it at max speed like you would the ty or verbatim,but half the speed should be sufficient. I've burned 100's of plus and dash and still performed near identical to my verbs/tys/ritek/and hitachi maxells.

If older 1x-4x and 4x: Those weren't very good.

Taiwanese TDK: I'd try to avoid these and get the sony.
