The newest update for Nero 7 is supposed to be compatible with vista I believe. Its 7.5.7.0. So far it seems to be the best version yet, so far.

That's what another member here posted that Nero reported in their monthly email update. 7.5.7.0 is supposed to be compatible w/ Vista. 1st version of 7 that is.
So house8 may just need to update w/ the latest version.

no problemo house8
Install the latest from Nero's site and give it a go w/ Vista.
Let us know how it turns out - good, bad or otherwise.

I may do the 'great divide' - windows o/s on 1( might do Vista late summer) & a Linux o/s on another. (just still need to learn Linux :)
Bill Gates stuff has been so prevalent for so long - more at ease w/ it but I would like to see the diff in the 2.

Linux is a fine OS as long as you're not into gaming. The 3d support (at least for ATI cards) is not that great. Even if you get it working it seems to break very easily. Other than that though, its getting very user friendly and theres quite a lot of nice apps for it. A whole lot of freeware and open source stuff to. I have heard that Nvidias graphics cards are supported much better than ATIs but can't confirm it.
