Using latest version of Nero recode as well as latest version of AnyDVD to backup House Season 2 disk 1. This is the error i get when i try to recode: Can you tell me what to do never had this happen before.

your logs are lacking! what disk are you trying to burn to? What firmware do you have for your burner? what speed were you trying to burn with? why wasn't Advanced Analysis started? were the logs lost because of the error and then it shut down?
try this guide out and save the logs:

I do episode DVDs differently! I rip the disk to the hard drive using DVDDecrypter, then use DVDRemake to take out all the extras (warning screens, trailors, previews and such)and I edit the menus to blank out the buttons for the extras, then I use DVDRebuilder Pro with CCE to get the best quality you can get! this process may be a little bit more advanced for a newbie but the out come is great!
When I was a newbie to burning.... I used AnyDVD + CloneDVD and still do today! It does a great job .... but if the compression falls below 80% quality then I use the above remedy that makes a big difference.
