Ok, I can already speculate as to how many of us are tempted to take a personal day or call in sick on the Monday following the release of the Wii, PS3, and Gears of War.

To my dissatisfaction, I just found out this week that I have a two-day conference and workshop happening that Monday and Tuesday, so I won't be able to play hookie those days.

To anyone planning on taking that Monday off, let's hear your "excuse" for not showing up for work that Monday morning.

Don't worry, you are anonomous here...

well here in australia it is dec 7 which is a thursday. i have only recently returned to work after receiving an injury and am only working part time at the moment.

at moment i am working 6 hrs day on mon wed fri. in couple of weeks i will be adding the tues in. but by thurs dec 7 i will still not be working thursdays!

how cool is that!

and i am getting insurance for hrs i dont work!

I would if I could, because I am frustrated with the whole 'sunday release' bit in particular. I would've loved to have some more time with it; but hey, what are you going to do? They launched their last home console on a Sunday too.

I'll probably be curious to hear if you actually get one on the 26th, there are mixed possibilities on whether you'll be able to just walk into a store and do that, or not...

well im a full time student with one class this quarter so i go to class from 8:00 to 10:00 and im done for the day and then from 11:30 to 7:00 i can play wii then eat dinner and back to more wii before going to bed
