I seem to be having trouble with a new 4GB MS that I bought. I'm running V1.5 and using DevHook 0.46, I'll fill it up with stuff and then nothing will play? It just keeps locking up when it's rebooting and loading the iso. And if I try to copy everything off again it says "Cannot Copy: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable!" If I put just one thing on there it plays fine but that kind of defeats the object of having a 4GB card. Any Ideas, as I've had to format the memory card 4 times now and re-install everything.
Also it will let you delete files off but they never actually go, they just disappear from windows and the amount of used space on the memory card stays unchanged, the only way to get rid of it is to again, format the card.
Sound like a faulty stick?

Connect the PSP to your Computer
Format the memory Stick with Windows XP, Fat32
Make a scan on the mem Stick to see if there are defektive sectors or something else.

Right I did a full format using Windows XP, fat32, did a scan and everything seems fine. should I now format it using the psp to put the main folders on?

But at the moment I've got no files or folders at all on the psp, when I install DevHook will it create all the necessary folders needed?

oh...i guess you should format :)
for devhook
-----------
download devhook ultimate installer http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673
after you run the installer and the files are on your memory stick, open the new ISO folder and put your .iso files there

Ok, I've tried that and it's done the same thing, can put one iso on and play it but any more and it just locks up :(

Right, did that and no difference, it still locks up, I officially give up, looks like I'm just gonna have to buy a couple of 2GB sticks!
Cheers all.

jay2jay99, seems like you already answered the question I was going to ask a few minutes ago...
the Lexar MS brand, I advise people to stay away from. Almost every Lexar media i've bought has gotten corrupted or went bad early. It's trash media; don't bother with that brand.
SanDisk area the most reliable, and $ony is right behind SD with their own MStick format LOL. One thing I need to ask (never tried it myself), is there a way to format your MStick so you partition it like a hard drive? *If that's possible, try breaking it up into 2 or more drives. If it still doesn't work, try running Acronis or another HDD checking app on it. There might be a defective area. Otherwise, that is strange. Good luck.
if you're a college student, do NOT settle with the RIAA http://tinyurl.com/37oz2z

I'm not sure if it can be split up, I'll have a go but even if it is split up I doubt I'd be able to access the second partition from the psp. I'll have a look for that Acronis you mentioned.
