DVI from PC to HDMI on TV, need help connecting

Hi,

I just bought a new 32'' HDTV. The tv-sales man said that if I want to use the TV as a monitor for my PC all I need is this cable.

So I also bought that.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get an image. I've connected the cable I bought to my PC's DVI out and to my TV's HDMI 1.

No picture though...I can't see anything.

So this is how long I've gotten. Any advice? What do I have to do?

Hi Stefaaan! Welcome to afterdawn! I don't have the answer to your question but I don't think this is the best forum for your question. I'll ask a moderator to have a look and I know a couple of guys at afterdawn who've done what you're looking to do; I'll ask them to gave a look. ....Gerry
