I keep getting this error when i try to open iTunes, and it doesn't let me open it. Any advice?

Had the same problem Ended up unistaling Itunes then re instaling the updated version from the Itunes web site

If I remember corectly I had to use a 3rd party uninstaler before I got it to work The Itunes uninstaler and windows add and remove programmes did not work

what do you mean by 3rd party and what did you have to use to uninstall it?

when i tried uninstalling it, it came up with the error

I use a programme called your uninstaller [url=http://www.ursoftware.com/]

But there are many free ones available do a Google search thenuse it to uninstall iTunes

Update your iTunes here..

The fact that your iTunes symbol in the error msg is green suggests you are using an older version..

ok do you have 7.0.1? or 7.0.2? Because 7.0.2 has recently come out and people have said that many of the problems have been fixed.

the 7.0.1 has a glitch, it has been posted everywhere, so if you tried updating recently to the BLUE symbol of music, make sure its 7.0.2.
if your not sure then go to itunes.com and download the new one.

and make the newer file name includes the number 7.0.2
that way you can tell which file is which version.

Give that a try.
