Need help downgrading a 2.60 PSP

It seems that all the information I find on reverting to 1.5 from 2.60 is contradictory, and given that it's possible to turn the PSP into a useless paperweight in the process, I'd like someone to correctly tell me the best process. Do I need GTA? Some sources say I do and some don't. Any help is appreciated.

Why do you want to downgrade your psp ? to play ISO game ? if yes , you can update your psp to 2.71 and use the Homebrew Enabler for 2.71 made by Dark_Alex and using Devhook for 2.71 FW By Dark_alex too ( if I'm not mistaken).Beacuse I already try this method and now I can play ISO games . all these files you can search it at pspupdates.com , Or in this forum there is already someone who post a guide for this thing you can search for it . I took those info from that guide. Sorry for the bad english.

IF you have GTA you can downgrade 2.60 you can download the downgrader here:

IF you don't have GTA you can update to 2.71 and run a downgrade without GTA
2.71 update files:

make sure you dont have a ta-082
upgrade to 2.71(nothing above that).. gotta actually find a 2.71 firmware i guess on pspupdate.qj
than the 2.71 to 1.50 final firmware downgrade
than use devhook Ultimate installer FINAL so you can emulate 2.71(and i guess some others)
