How do I create new menu for DVD made with Pana. DMR-E20?

Hello -

I want to replace the ugly menu screen that my Panasonic DMR-E20 tabletop DVD recorder makes with something nicer that I could create using a DVD authoring program.

I figure I can copy the VOB, BUP, and IFO files off the DVD onto my PC's hard drive. (I'm unclear about what they each contain, though.)

Then I would use some kind of program that would recognize the above files and allow me to build a single menu screen that could jump to perhaps two to five titles on a new disk.

Is it possible? What program would let me do this?

I have a Pioneer A04 drive in my PC, but no MPEG capture card. That's why I'm relying on the Panasonic deck to do the A/D conversion.

(My apologies if this has been previously covered - I couldn't find anything in recent posts.)

Use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create menus and arrange your VOB's and IFO files. Get it here:

Just to add to this.......

I have the newer model (DMR-E50.) When I create a single movie I run it through DVD Decrypter and DVD2One in "Movie Only" mode. This won't work in your case, because you want several chapters on the disc. Just adding this comment to help.
