Ok I have a wireless router (linksys) WLAN settings asks scan or enter manually, so I scan, It finds the wireless router signal strength is 100% so I press x to move on. SSID says "linksys", move on to WLAN security settings None, WEP, or WPA-PSK (TKIP) I dont know what those mean so I select NONE. I move on to Address settings I choose EASY. Then I press X to save my settings. I do a "Test Cnnection" then it reads " A connection error has occured. A connection to the access point could not be established. Check the security settings for the network and try again." I'm just wondering what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Some Devhooks have wifi connection problems, there is a fix for it. I think its on qj.net just google it. Try doing a hard reset and try it again from your flash firmware it should work from 2.71.
if its the wep key your confused about and you got a linksys: type with your PC in the address bar 192.168.1.1 then enter your administrator password. if your not sure its probably set on the default pass ADMIN. once in to your router go to wireless, then wireless security, then under security mode select none, then save. now try setting up a new network connection and put none when it asks for security. then you should be good to go.

(PC)Set your router wifi security settings at none then save...
(PSP)ok fully turn your psp off, then reboot...
(PSP)go to network settings (bottom left on your PSP menu...
(PSP)select infrastructure mode...
(PSP)Del. all existing connections...
(PSP)create a new connection
(PSP)WLAN SETTINGS: Scan...
(PSP)choose your wifi access point..
(PSP)WLAN SECURITY SETTINGS: None... (you must have changed your router wifi security to NONE)....
(PSP) Address Settings: easy...
(PSP) save settings.... done
If you entered a wep key you didnt set your router security at none. The PSP should not even ask you for it.
EDIT: If it still does not work return it for a new one lol
