i played the wii last night at garden city shopping centre here in brisbane.
played zelda, wario ware, excite truck, wii sports(tennins and bowling),and wii play(pool and laser hockey).
must say it was pretty cool!
i didnt play zelda very long because there was a number of people waiting for tat...but it was awesome! definately picking this up on day 1 (preordered it a few weeks ago anyway).
wii sports was cool too. i really liked the bowling the more than the tennis but thats not to say tennis wasnt great.
the control for excite truck was good once u got used to it. u turn the control on its side and use like steering wheel.
wii play and wario ware were interesting but didnt play long enough to learn much more than that.

hey moron, i said laser hockey and pool in wii play not wii sports!
believe whatever you want.
Why don't you have a look on www.nintendo.com.au and see for yourself that they are going around the shopping centres in australia then you can think "hey maybe he is telling the truth and i am a moron"

'Wii Play'?
Well, it might help if that was actually an existing product for the Wii. The idea of playable demo units isn't so shocking, but it honestly doesn't sound like you're on level here. Sounds more like someone browsed around a few websites and pieced a story together... But that's just my opinion.
Either way, don't take it too personally, really, we're just anonymous web users like you. We don't know eachother, and my, or anyone else here saying we don't believe you really means nothing. It honestly does no good to get worked up about it, because you'll never convince some people no matter how truthful you are.
I wouldn't pursue it too much, because you're just going to get yourself huffy when people confirm their disbelief, and I really hate to see someone new to the site get turned off of it like that. It's better that you concentrate on the people who don't think you're lying, because you'll find that whether people believe you or not, doesn't mean they don't like you, or won't be civil.
Welcome to AD forums (Both of you), I hope you stick around, because there's a lot of good stuff here.
(I Played the Wii, I really loved playing Wii Sharkhunt.)

actualy, Wii play is a few minigames (I think 7 in all) that you get if you buy and extra controler. not exactley a full game that one would pay $20-50 for but more comparable to a sample disk. Its real.
X2 3800, A8n deluxe motherboard, 7800GT, Xion 2 case
2GB Patriot DDR 400, Audigy 2 ZS gamer, 400GB SATA RAID 0
games Im looking forward to: bioshock, SSBB, enemy territory quake wars, halo 3
currently playing: command and conquer 3, supreme commander, counter strike, shivering isles

Yeah, the Wii looks pretty cool. im thinking that i may choose Wii over Ps3 and 360. But that could easily be a decision i will regret in a couple of months ;-)
@BackupGuy
Why post 3 times in a row? why not just edit the 1st post, i HATE it when people do that!

Triple response medal awarded to:
backupguy, for feeling the need to reply to one topic not once, not twice, but three times in single 60 second period. Bravo!
*Music plays, as backupguy walks up the aisle, past all his fellow ADForum members, who stand and applaud his tremendous achievements*
Master of cermonies: Thank you backupguy, you've done a marvelous thing here, it truly is miraculous that you managed to post three replies to one topic in under one minute's time. And all of them being so deep and useful, it's truly wonderful!
*Music continues playing as backupguy walks down the aisle, clutching a four foot tall trophy (which is adorned at the top by and image of a generic looking geek, complete with sterotypic pocket protector) by the bottom, as he proudly carries it back down the aisle, and to his home, where he will be congratulated by his close friends and family.*
@backupguy
Please don't take offense to this, I'm not trying to pick a flame war or anything here; I simply found it amusing, and opted to reply in a humorous manner, I see that you've got member status, which means that there is at least a decent chance that you've been around a while(Unless all your posts are of the same calibur as the last three here....?) I'm sure you've seen me, and know I occasionally get the urge to mess with people in oddly elaborate ways. Nothing personal, lol. I just thought it would be amusing, not only to give you a medal; but an elaborate awards ceremony along with it.
Wewt.

well i actually thought my post was a bit over the top and was gunna change it but couldnt be bothered.
anyway yes wii play is real, it has 9 mini games.
here in australia a new wii remote is $69.95au, or you can buy a new wii remote and wii play for $79.95au.
it basically just has a few minigames that demonstrate the different uses for the controller. eg the is a clay pigeon type shooting game (think duck hunt) where the control is used as a pointer/gun.
and the laser hockey is like air hockey where the remote is used to control your paddle thing.
anyway i didnt just post i had played it to big note, i thought people may have some questions about how it was to actually play it instead of just reading all the hype about it. but those lucky people in north america will find out themselves soon.

Wiiplay is in fact a real game compilation. It includes pool, table hockey (i assume that is what you meant by laser hockey, or air hockey as it is called in the states), table tennis, pinball, and other games. It isn't available in the states for some reason, which explains why many of you did not immedietly recognize the title and/or the validity of killa_aus.
Anyways, thanks for your review. It does reflect many sentiments shared by other reviewers, particularly the preference of Wii bowling to the other games on Wii sports.
I hope you can give a little more in-depth review, though, as many things you listed are common knowledge. (i.e. excite truck controls, massive zelda lines, etc)
