Does anybody know the release date for the new benq dw1800?? or the dw1680?? Is going to be anygood??

Urm, I believe BenQ stopped making optical drives, so I doubt that any new ones will be released...

well, they didn stop making optical drive.
they sold the optical drive division to Lite-on.
I think there used to be a link with that article
in it.

I believe the BenQ DW1800 is going to be a rebadged LITE-ON 18A1P.
Here's a link where they have already cross-flashed the LITE-ON 18A1P to a BenQ DW1800.

Lmao, this is so pointless. Why make a "new BenQ" which is a LiteON? Cos rly, it's not a BenQ...

And also it's rebadged, so in my eyes, it is the OEM drive that is the real drive; not it's rebadged couterpart, ie the "BenQ1800"

Well i guess if you didn't wont to cross-flash a Lite-on to Ben-q to use Q-suite than you would buy the Ben-q DW1800.Same with Plextor using rebadged Ben-q's only difference being the firmware and burning utilities.I would buy the one i got the best deal on and crossflash to the one that has the best firmware and features.
