Devhook / usbhost problems...please help!

I would really like to run iso's from my PC via usbhost. I have tried devhook .46 with every mod I can find, both in irshell and directly via the 2.71 SE game menu. I have verified that devhook works with iso's that are on my memory stick. Using a devhook mod (VSHEX for example) with usbhost I am successfully able to find and select an iso file and select 'start' in devhook and it takes me to the XMB. But then I go to the UMB in my game menu and most games will just lock up my PSP as it is loading the game title. The few games that allow me to start them begin to load and then come back to the XMB with an error. I hear the usb making probably 5 or 6 connections during the whole process.
What am I doing wrong??? I have successfully run the same setup with the same PSP connected to my friend's computer. All I can guess at this point is that there's something wrong with my pc that's causing me problems. I have followed every tutorial I can find, tried tons of mods, etc. I have tried different usb ports. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the PSP port B driver several times. I have tried different usb cables. I have also tried it on a different PSP running 1.5 FW and then 2.71 SE firmware. I have tried everything under the sun.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, have you been able to solve it? It seems like I've seen similar posts but no answers. Is there any hope for me?

Quick question m8. Do you transfer files from your mobile phone to PC with the same USB port your trying to use?

No I don't. I have used it with thumb drives, a digital camera, and a usb gamepad, though. And I have tried a different port as well.

Well could be same prob i was havin then m8. Worked out what prob was for me wen tried set-up & worked 1st time on laptop after several attempts on desktop had failed.
Had recently installed software & drivers for new k800i phone and from what i can gather, when try to install the drivers for the PSP manually as instructed in the DEVHOOK tut, it installs the drivers on top of the phone drivers which ob aint ideal.
Would try uninstalling your mobile stuff for now & could also try this.

Like I said, I haven't connected a phone to my PC. But is it possible to uninstall/remove drivers for any of the usb devices I have connected in the past? Maybe this would help, given the problems you had after connecting your phone.

Or you can use the ultimate installer (this link also has some instructions): http://striderwolf2.proboards37.com/inde...read=1158063025
Summary: Install Devhook .46, then install a mod ("Mod Pack (USB/Screnshot/No Autorun)" in the ultimate installer, or you can use the VSHEX mod, which I like a lot)
IMPORTANT: Since you are using 2.71 SE, you need to move the devhook and mod folders that are located on your memory stick under PSP/GAME to PSP/GAME150 because it is homebrew for 1.5 firmware. BUT keep the escape2.xx (or whatever it's called) in the GAME folder. You should now be able to run the devhook mod from the game menu.
The rest you should be able to figure out from the tutorial or the ultimate installer instructions.

I wish I could say the same...something having to do with my PC is causing me problems.
No way to run without devhook yet. But I am anxiously awaiting 2.71 SE C because I hear that it will have usbhost support built in!

i was saying without the original devhook 0.46. i no we have to keep the usb-mod but the other one is pointless isnt it?
