2. From a burnt copy, can i just direct copy it?

most copying software nowadays can handle copy right errors on most older games.. i'd advise Alcohol 120% or clone cd, but you still need a modchip or swap disk to play them..

i think you have misread my question. i am asking whether i would need to extract the data onto my hardrive then burn or whether i can directly copy it without extracting anything.

shouldn't matter whether it's an original copy or a burned game; what matters is if you've got two drives or not. If you only have one drive, there's no way to copy-on-the-fly.

Take the normal precautions; make sure the disc is clean and doesn't have fingerprints, doesn't have scratches on the bottom OR on the top, and you're pretty much golden. If you're copying a burned game, just cross your fingers and hope it was burned well and doesn't have bad data on it.

the answer is yes just make sure you have good burners and decent computer. u will use alcohol120 copy disc. u will not use computer till copy is finished. also it helps (is faster) if the burners are on different ide cables.

you are not extracting anything i hope. you are simply copying the disc image. do not extract the disc image (the data) such as folders etc.... you need a disk image so that the cd is exactly the same.

you of course need two drives or you will need to store the image on your hardisk at least temporarily
