i'm copying my Final Fantasy VII games for PS1 to play on PS2. i used clonecd, put all 3 discs on 3 different cds. tried to use swap magic cd 3, then when it after i push the x button, the screen goes in a red color.

what am i doing wrong?

i also have another problem with Dirge of Cerberus for PS2, it gets past square enix, then black screen and stops. last game that locked up, it needed a patch? is there one for Dirge of Cerberus?

why do you need to put them onto another disc?
ps2 can play psx games

i'm making a backup so the original doesnt get damaged. i do that with all my games. that way in my later ages, i can still play the original because they were used twice at the most.

i think i may have found my problem. i'm using a maxwell cd-r color. would it work if i tried the maxwell black cd-r? hmmmm....

i'll find out after i get of work. but i still need an answer to my second question

Firstly: You can't boot PSX games on the PS2 using Swap Magic. Swap magic is reserved for PS2 games only. You'll need to purchase 'Breaker Pro'

Secondly: I'm not sure, try making a new image (assuming your copy is real) and burn it again using High Quality Media and at a slower speed. Don't ever forget, burning at a slow speed doesn't always mean success. Please use the search function to find out more about burning, saves us the trouble.
