I am a complete psp noob i just got a psp w/ v2.80. I have done some research and discovered that i need to downgrade my psp to a earlier version in order to play homebrew software. now does this mean that i have to downgrade to play backup games and movies(I assume so, but figured i'd ask)? and if so is there a specific way to downgrade from 2.8 or can i just use any guide to do so? and then once i downgrade and fully prep my psp, how do i actually load the backups and play them? I really like the internet feature but i guess i can live with out it, the main thing is i want to be able to play the GTAs and my umd version of killzone. I have a lot for questions and feel completely lost any help/advise/suggestions would be greatly appericiated. thanks

you can't downgrade fw 2.8 and you don't need an earlier version to play movies, you need to be in a wireless hotspot to go on the internet

yeah. i think on 2.8 u just put mp4's (video's) straght in the Video folder. so its ok. and you can still use your IE but you cant downgrade. this means that you cant downlaod games and play them. oh well..
