Bought a couple of broken Xboxs a while back, two had DVD drive issues and the other wouldn't boot correctly!

The non-booting one is the the issue here. I fire it up and notice "Xecuter 2" instead of Microsoft beneath the xbox flubber. Great! I hold in the power button for 3 secs and she boots up to an EvoX screen! Can't believe my luck, plays games, has the Samsung drive, the lot!

So anyway, I get curious today and decide it would be handy to have the chip on-hand to repair some other xboxs I have. I open it up and there's no chip!? WTF!!!???

I don't know the first thing about Hardmodding, but I have opened MY xbox up plenty of times and I know what the chips look like and has all the wires going everywhere! I even removed the MB in hope that it was mounted underneath!

What do you think has happened here? Maybe it "had" the chip, it was removed and replaced with a softmod? Seems a bit odd!

Was researching TSOP flashing, could this be a solution to this issue?
