Do you think it will be possible to play ROM images for NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, or Turbo Grafx on Wii? I mean will somebody find a way to convert these ROMs to whatever format VC games will be in?

well this isn't gong to happen as soon as you think
nintendo has a new security system called scrrcr dont ask me to explain what it spells out but this new code is like a firewall remember how firewalls on computers everytime you try to hack into one the firewall dishes out a new fake ip address to hinder hackers from gaining access well not only is this on the firewalls this is now on the wii games and wii roms for vc which means everytime you try to open the file to hack it the file will just dish out garbage code to block your efforts so not only are you dealing with DRM you are dealing with security becasue DRM would have to be used also to confirm the identity of the file on a wii online server

Surprise factor of Nintendo developing a new security method:
0%
Belief factor that it will really be six months before anyone breaks through:
0%
Estimated time before the average joe ruins Nintendo's profits with rampant illegal piracy:
Nine Months.
It's sad too, because Nintendo is really going out on a limb to deliver something new.

If you're just looking for roms, there are plenty of ways to play them already. A lot of people do that with XBox's. Heck, it'd be a lot cheaper. lol.

....Yeah. Except, no. It's nice to dream. And I'm assuming that's all you're doing, because you're foolish if you believe that Nintendo is really dumb enough to implemenent formats that were actually CREATED and distributed almost entirely by pirates.
It's not happening without a modded system. Modding, as always, is an entirely different story, whether on the hardware or software end.

i dont think you can because on the manaul you get with the wii it says you can only acces photos orvideos on the memory card SD. so it wont save anything on your memory SD card but to the bilt in drive. snd i think it also said you can only hold 100 vc games. so choose wisley. the good thing is that you can delete games and redaownloaded with out having to pay again it will save to your wii's account .

Can you use this for Wii titles? Or only for GCN titles on the Wii? Now I'm curious..... Very interesting.

on the video the guy loads up his gamecube action replay disc along with his gamecube memory card, or as i assume the gamecube SD card adapter. the SD card is loaded with roms and emulators and action replay lets him access them without a hassle. from there he is able to launch his super nintendo emulator and play SNES games without a problem.

Does it matter what version of action replay you use? also could you load the emu from a disk w/ the roms on it as well?
