I am using the following to playback this file:

Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0 in combination with the CCCP (Combined Community codec Pack). My friend has the identical file and used the latest Klite codec Pack in combination with Media Player Classic and it works for him, not for me though.

The problem is the follwing:

The audio is very inconsistent. At one moment the "effects" will be played properly (stereo) while at the same time, the voices are only mono (left in this case) or, a lot louder on the left than on the right. And yes, this occurs throughout the entire video.
Sometimes even the rest of the audio (effects, ambiance etc) will only play in the left channel.

It also happened a few days ago with other mkv files. However the problem was not so severe.

*EDIT*: Don't know if this is relevant. But if I try to play the file with VLC player, I get the same problem, however, instead of the left channel, it is the right channel.

Any suggestions are welcome.
