I am new to dvd burning. Dont know much about it but I have burned a few dvds using a decrypter and Nero. But now when I tried burning I get a message asking to insert a blank disc. I have tried several blank discs and keep getting the same message. I have also tried Dvdshrink and get the same thing. Whats going on??

Could you post a Nero burn log please? It could be several things; but will be easier to pin-point with a log :)

okay, ive tried all of those things and still getting the same thing. but when i try to turn the dma on it shows under device 0 transer mode dma if available. then under current mode it shows ultra dma mode 5. under the device 1 it shows the same thing in transfer mode but current says not applicable. does that make any difference? also im not sure what you mean about what media am i using.

And also, what media means what make of disks, eg. sony or TDK etc...

im using maxwell and ive tried fujifilm. i just tried to burn and got the same thing but when i open Nero history it shows nothing in the log report. im having an issue with the decrypter i had too. i used dvd ghost and it wont uninstall. i cant even burn a music cd. do you think if i do a system restore and reinstall everything that will fix my problem?

ok, i ended up doing a full system restore. i downloaded the trial version of Nero 7 and dvdfab. i get the same message to insert a blank disc. and when i go into see the Nero history nothing is there. any other suggestions besides shooting the dang thing!?
