I would update Nero and get the latest firmware flash for your drive. That will probably solve all your burning woes. I have a link on my Post Script click it to go to the firmware update site.

Hi papolucas,
That's your typical Nero burn log.
It tells us how the burn attempt went and some info about your system and some of the settings you used.
First, You should edit out your Nero serial number. It's the long number at the top that begins with SC82....
Here, it looks like the first buggy Nero 7 installed over the top of Nero 6:
Quote: Nero API version: 7.0.0.0
Using interface version: 6.3.1.4
I'd run the Nero 7 CleanTool and then reboot:
http://nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html
Consider runing the Nero6 CleanTool as well. I don't know if that would be needed to get rid of your old Nero 6 though. Try the Nero 7 CleanTool first.
Install a current version of Nero 7:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_so...ations/nero.cfm
Tou need to free up more memory. Close unneeded applications and please don't multitask while burning:
Quote: Physical memory : 510MB (522332kB)
Free physical memory: 28MB (28792kB)
Memory in use : 94 %
Adding more RAM may help you here.
The first error you get is usually the most important. In this case a "Key Medium Error":
Quote: 9:44:17 PM #25 SPTI -1176 File SCSIPassThrough.cpp, Line 306
CdRom1: SCSIStatus(x02) WinError(0) NeroError(-1176)
Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)
Burning at 16X may cause this.
Quote: Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)
Slow down your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed for the media.
You are using Sony mdia. The "Made in Japan" version is supposed to be OK. The blanks made elsewhere are not OK. Your firmware appears to be current for this drive, other than some "conversion" firmware I found at http://www.rpc1.org .
Frank
