$200 discounts? Really? Yeah, no. Gamestop is not selling them game systems for $50. Besides, even if they *DID* give discounts, the employee discount is honestly very minimal (Again, across the board) ESPECIALLY on hardware, which makes your story even less likely.
Hardware discount is 5%. Wow, five percent. Gee, in most states that barely covers up sales tax, if it even does.
Game discount is 10%, which is great, but really, it means that if you're game retails at $50; they add the tax for a $50 item, then subtract the discount based on the original price(Yes, that's against the employee two ways) and that's the total.
So really, I do this incredibly rarely; but I will openly state that your statement is 100% wrong. You show me proof that employees are getting a $200 discount, and I'll eat my shoe, because I know that I know that I know, it's a false statement.
Now; by purchasing games, you do get a discount... ON THE GAMES, but we've already been over that statement, there is a 'software' discount(Games), which is very minimal, you'd have to purchase far more than a 'couple' for it to equivilate to a $200 discount.
Have I been harsh on this one? Maybe. But given the response style just received, and the level of nonsense contained therein, I find it less than remotely unwarranted.
Go ramble with your bull and gross exagurations elsewhere tablet, your statement is balogna, and anyone with just a hint of common sense, regardless of whether they've worked for the company or not, can tell quite clearly that it's a far cry from reality. You've made some useful posts around the board, and I agree with you on a lot of things here. But a $200 discount is so CLEARLY made up. If you want to keep arguing it, feel free; but I won't be wasting any more of my time on such a frivolous and obvious work of fiction. No game company gives there employee an ****80%**** discount on ANY game system, even if it's been out years and is failing miserably.
