my dvd player isnt working.heres what happen,it was playing just fine and all of a sudden it went out.i disconnect it and plug it back in and all i get is the power on button and optical out flashes red.any idea what happen?

i used to have one of those and the same thing happened, just quit working...pulled it out of the closet planning to open it up and tinker around, but first popped in a dvd and to my suprise was playing like it was never broke in the first place, strange.

edit: meant to say pulled it out of the closet after about 4 or 5 months.
