Help! Im trying to burn a AVI file (Lost tv show) onto a disc to watch on a DvD player. Now,Someone suggested bad media. i have tried different media and i found 1st class media Sony DVD+R(Taiyo Yuden). Ok, now im using Nero 7.2.0.3 To try and burn the file. I tried to burn it through Photo video/Make your own dvd video(from the Nero smartstart menu). I add the AVI file disable all menus(When asked if i want to create) and i have tried it two way, Burn to disc and burn to Hard Drive. Most of the time i Burn to HDD, then when its done i click burn project again and i burn it to a disc. When it plays in the DVD player audio sometimes lags and when i watch the new DVD file on my CPU the audio lags also. Am i doing this wrong? Should i use a different method? Should i use a different program? Help me out please.

Use Nero only for burning.
First you need to convert your AVI to dvd-files. ConvertXtoDVD will do that.
Then you can use Nero (use burn dvd-video files -mode) to burn it.

If your having trouble with audio lag, try removing the Nero Video Decoder from your machine. It worked for me.
Start > Run

Well, it fixed my sync issues. As for negative impacts, I haven't noticed any. And if one does appear you can always install it again.

True. I found the file. So just delete that single file?

Ah, no. View my first reply. Click Start then 'Run...' and put in:
Quote: /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax"

I did that and a "choose your program" Prompt appears. What then?

Are you sure you put the command line in correcly?
Quote: /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax"
If that really isn't working maybe your NeVideo is in a different directory. You'll have to find it and change the command line to suit.

Then I have no idea why it's not working. If you hit 'Start' then 'Run' and paste in:
/u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax"
It should unregister it.

This shows up : "windows cannot find'/U'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search".
