External harddrive wont transfer larger files

I cant drag and drop to tansfer some larger files (isos, dvd images) inot my MicroNet 250 gig external hardrive. Usually, things over 3.5 gig to 4 gig wont transfer, it says the harddrive doesnt have enough space on it. Any help?

what format is the drive in as in ntfs or fat32?

fat32 can't do a file over 4 gig in size.

you can upgrade from fat32 to ntfs without losing your data. windows has a command convert for doing it

i think the easier way is to move all your files in your external hardisc and then format it to ntfs.i usually use ntfs drive to burn ps2 games,coz most of them are big
