Hi, Ive been thro' your site, and it's all very "greek" excuse the pun - to me, too complicated for me So I hope I'm where I'm supposed to be. Before I got a new PC P4 with XP on - my Nero 5.5.9.9 was working just fine, had no problems, then with the upgrade and V6 was installed, I received this error! Then I removed the programme and loaded V5, the same message appeared. Uninstalled that one as well and tonight installed V6.3.1.17, all works normal, but as soon as I press "burn" I get this mess. The IT guy tested the driver by going to My docs, and sending file to D, no problem, and can see the files, but I prefer using Nero. Please can you tell me what the problem could be, thanks

Thanks, as I don't understand what you've just tried to explain to me, I'll get the IT guy to read it and tell me what to do, but will attempt it on my own tonight.
You mentioned that I look at the log, but remember, I removed/deleted the programs, so would I still find these?
At the same time, doing the "clean" it wouldn't harm anything anywhere hey? So, must I redo the uninstall again and then the clean?
And then reinstall?
You've added the 2 links (package 1 & 2), what's this for?
Binkie7, you must ignore my ignorance, I was spoilt rotten and to figure something out on my own isn't easy... all I had to do is work the programs, etc, not figure out why, etc - hahah

No problemo chev11.
Since you don't have a log let's do a clean install of Nero. The links above are you version 6.6.0.18. Download this and install them.
But 1st uninstall Nero in add/remove programs (write down serial # 1st). Then run the clean tool (link above too). No it's pretty safe so you should be okay there.
Now reboot the PC.
Install the 2 packages of Nero that you downloaded. The 1st link has like Burning Rom, Express etc. The 2nd is Nero digital which has like Recode, Vision. Nero 6 just has thier applications broken into packages.
Now reboot and try again.
If you get an error again check for the log and post it.
Keep us posted!

Hi, thanks for all your help. Took forever to download, but we found the error, it was the actual cd (programme) - we had it replaced and now it's working.
I'm now querying Lotus Smartsuit V9, I can't seem to find where I change "inches" to "cm" for margins, etc, can you help me? This IT guy of mine will soon get fired as he only installs what he feels like as I can't get into Help either.

Glad to hear that part is now sorted.
Now for Lotus can't help you there - I have no Lotus programs (well some on a cd somewhere here but never installed)
