read errors/burning problems using nero

hi
i am having problems with read errors and also burning errors when using Nero, i burned a disc earlier and it was fine and now using the same disc says read errors

Here are some suggestions:

Get this drive back in DMA mode - may be playing into the read problem.

Check the back of the disc for fingerprints, scratches. May need to be cleaned off with something non abrasive. Another reason for read errors. Even though you just burned never now - discs pick up things like fingerprints quite easily.
What media are you using. I can see -R in the log only.
How about the burn speed used on the disc you are trying to copy?

hi
have switched the drive to dma but still getting the problem am not sure what format the disc is that i am trying to make a copy of ( how can i find out?)
but the ones i am using to burn to are DVD-R Verbatim
i set the burn speed to 4x but most of the time its problems reading the actual disc i am trying to copy rather than burn errors

From your log above you're copy from a DVD-R disc - that's giving you read errors - Reading disc failed.
Is this disc that you are reading from one of the Verbs that you burned?
Try to rip the dic w/ DVD Decrypter (free) - you can rip in iso mode then burn the iso w/ decrypter or Nero. Or rip in file mode then use the dvd-video option (if this is a movie) in Nero Burning Rom or Express.
