Recording music from internet radio, not line-in, by using wave_editor.

My wave editor works with line-in but dosn't work when I try to record from internet (live) radio. I've tried to managed settings in my computer and in the wave-editor program as well.
Is there something that I missed?
Please help me.

What type of wave editor do you have and what digital format do you want to use for the finished file ?

Nero wave editor, Nero 7. The the type of format mp3, wav, ...dosn't matter, I got a converter. Thanks for reply.

I do not use the Nero wave editor, but I would think that you should be able to select some other sources other than "line in".You may have a selection such as "wave output" or "sound Card". These outputs are for any sound coming from the computer.You might also consider these two editors,"both free".

With the direct download method ,the file is not changed in format and your saved file should be as good as the original.

I've selected other sources other than "line-in." (Mic, Rear Mic, Wave, SW Synthy, CD Player) These are the only option that I have.
"Wave output" found and selected.
And tried out other editors you've post.
So far, I can hear and control the volume level on all of the wave editors but the recording meter isn't moving at all. Conducted recording and result was no sound. Changed other sources/options but still no sound after recording.
:P pretty frustrated. But I'm gonna keep finding out how I can record sounds from the computer and/or internet radio. I know there is a way. I've done it on my old computer. My new computer (XPS) is giving me alittle headache.

download a program called Total Recorder. It´s not free I think but definately worth it.
It downloads whatever sound that goes through your soundcard. It works fine for me to record music imbedded in websites, radio streams,....

Double click on your speaker icon at the bottom-right of your monitor display and see about the wave vol. control setting.

I have to recommend Nero SoundTrax. Open up tools and use the tape to cd wizard. Choose stereo mix as your input and adjust the fader to the best headroom. When your done hit next, take of all derumbler leveling and finish it out. You can then right click on the resulting track and edit and normalize in Nero WaveEditor.

I would like to thank you guys for responding.
However, I still don't have a solution yet. sorry
Ive tried wave volume control.
My curious respond is from txsfrbl
I remember having 'stereo mix' as my input on my old computer. The new computer, xps, I have dosn't have it.
On my old computer, I can click advance volume control and I get all kinds for option to select to put into my main volume control board (i hope this is clear).
Example: (Default Control) Input, CD, Wave, Mic.
(Advance Control) Input, CD, Wave, Mic, Stereo Mix, Midi, etc....
Here is some info of my sound system I have:
-SigmaTel Audio
-Modem#0 Line Playback (emulated)
-Microsoft Synthesizer
-Microsoft MIDI Mapper (emulated)
-Creative SoundFont Synthesizer (emulated)
-Microsoft GS wavetable SW Synth (emulated)
I know it's something stupid that I missed. This type of situation has happen to me before, but not this critical...so, it might not be stupid.
If you guys don't have any idea, its alright. I'm not in a hurry to get this project going. It's my hobby.
